San Fran? Dec. 19th, 2007 @ 03:07 pm
So who is still in/around San Francisco? I'll be visiting for a few days in mid-January for MacWorld.

Wow. Dec. 12th, 2007 @ 04:20 pm
Mint.com, so far... this is how personal financial apps SHOULD work.

The word Nov. 14th, 2007 @ 12:20 pm
Apparently word slipped out that this Saturday is my birthday.
I'll be DJing at Automatic, something might be going on afterbar.

I'm undecided as whether or not to go out to eat prior to Automatic as I was attempting to avoid the entire mess altogether.

Users! Nov. 1st, 2007 @ 04:10 pm
Currently heading up a billion projects at work, but I'm wondering if any of my tech-headed friends may have implemented/tested/used ManageEngine's SupportCenter Plus?

I'm going to install it on my test server (Win) at home tonight and plan to build a Linux box at work tomorrow to test it at work, but I'm looking for any input as far as it's usability. The combined trouble ticketing w/knowledge base as well as asset management will be the features I'm primarily looking to use.

Anyone near the area (NW 14th and Hoyt) want to do lunch?

Anyone interested in a one (1) year subscription to Wired?
I'm renewing mine and they're offering another subscription for free.
» Shows!

I made it to Vegas alright, albeit 5 hours late due to a mechanical malfunction with the plane I was originally scheduled to fly on.
I'll post more tonight, but just wanted to drop a reminder that nolongerhuman will be playing two shows next week, a headlining gig at The Fez on Thursday and then a show on Sunday at Scream at the Beach (more details on the latter as I receive them).

So, if you haven't checked out the music yet, you should, Clint just uploaded one of the new songs today as well.
Go, play.  http://www.myspace.com/nolongerhuman

I'll make a full post later on, but over the past two days, I've received four calls back on applications I sent out, at the earliest, 3 weeks ago. Nice to know there are options, but the past two days at the new job have been fantastic so far.

Yeah, I'll post it in my LJ too.
It's funny, damnit!

» Underplayed songs?
I'll ask in my own journal before posting on a larger scale, but what are your favourite songs that are underplayed at clubs?

HIT ME!
» Web sites/apps I like
What websites do you absolutely live by... or enjoy because of their usefulness/coolness?

Last.FM:
A social networking site for music. Creates a list of what you're listening to, what your friends are listening to and then compiles the listening statistics so you can determine a band's more popular or most popular songs / find new music / etc... A DJ's best friend.

TIOTI / Joost:
Away from your Tivo? Don't have a Tivo? Show you want to watch isn't aired anymore?
These sites are dedicated to providing you links to streaming video of your favorite shows. TIOTI also incorporates a social networking feature so you can form groups with friends/those with similar viewing habits. From what I've seen so far, Joost has far better resolution and has a bigger wow factor. Honorable mentions going to Miro (previously Democracy TV) and SciVee (which SlashDot dubbed the YouTube for Science).

Instructables:
An enormous "HowTo" guide for a broad gamut of subjects.

Hack a Day:
A HowTo guide for owning your technology.

ColorMixers / Kuler:
Various color palettes and palette creation.

ScanR
Use your digital camera/phone to take photos and have the images processed and emailed/faxed to you.

Google Notebook:
A multi-subject notebook, doesn't work as well as OneNote, but is multi-platform which makes a huge difference. If the two products would converge, I'd be in heaven.

ToDoIst
On-Line ToDo list with Google Calendar integration.
